I am Kes Lablans, 18 years old and started photography in September 2025. I first discovered my love for photography in the first weeks of my study: Communication and multimedia design. My study is all about learning to be a designer and therefor creating things. For this we use design worlds, which could be illustrating, 3d modeling and photography as well.

I study at NHL Stenden in Leeuwarden, where I am in the photo club as well. We meet once every week and get a challenge for which we shoot photo’s for about an hour. This could be photographing with a colour filter or photographing the unexpected. We also have done a long exposure lesson in the studio at school and visited expositions. Every period we also have a feedback session in which other photo club members give feedback on the photo and or the editing and advise on which were the best photo’s each person took and why. This will help and already has with becoming a better photographer.

In my free time I like to be creative by making animated characters and drawing. I love reading books and go through about two a month. I also love watching movies and shows and am also in the film club at school where we watch very good lesser known movies.
